I usually get a plain slice, it's the best in the neighborhood. My last visit I had a Chicken Parm Slice & it did not disappoint! It was loaded with delicious breaded chicken, marinara sauce & mozzarella cheese. Every bite included a piece of chicken. It was so good! I had to hold up the pizza with the paper plate, but that goes to show how loaded it was!

Honestly, pretty bad. Everything too heavy, no nuance. There's better pizza everywhere, and I hope almost every place smells better. Must be the pizza mixed with the smell of the juice bar.

I'm not familiar with this neighborhood so I looked up some places on yelp and this one caught my eye. I got the white slice because it got great reviews - it definitely did not disappoint. I highly recommend this pizza joint!

I stop here to get food everytime I go to the Bronx Zoo. Their food is always amazing, fresh, and worth visiting for. I always get treated well here. Their chicken and vegetable Stromboli is my favorite.

I've been buying juices from here for over a month now and really enjoyed them. They have lots of combos and fruits and vegetables. But one time I noticed the guy putting a jar of honey back on the espresso machine while making my juice. My juice didn't call for honey so i kinda brushed it off. Just recently I ordered one of the specials on the window of pineapple, pear, and spinach and was watching him make my juice. I saw him in front of the white sugar container and he put about a teaspoon of sugar in my juice. Why would you put sugar in a fruit juice that has natural sugar in it already? Especially without telling me? I fould this to be very deceitful. You can't see what he's doing behind the counter so all the times I've ordered my juices he probably put sugar in it. What if i was a diabetic and had to watch my sugar and he's adding extra sugar to my vegi juices? That can be potentially lethal for me. I am not buying here from them cause they adding sugar without me knowing.

I heard that they recently got a new juice bar, so my sister and I went to check this place out. She got a carrot-orange juice with a little ginger, really good. I went for a cappuccino. I thought an Italian place......they can't possibly get this wrong, boy was I wrong! The guy behind the counter didn't have a single clue to what he was doing. Scaled milk cappuccino is what I got! It was so hot I couldn't drink it even after I left the restaurant. One piece of advice to their barista: if it's too hot for your hand, its too hot for the customer's mouth!

My advise don't order for delivery, I order a pie and I had to send it back I never learn why I keep ordering from this place. Never again!! I refuse over cooked pizza , bad customer service

I come here about 3x's a month...not for the pizza, although the pizza is top notch, but for the food. This is a pizzeria/ restaurant. The entrees are fresh and have plenty of taste. I can have the same dish over and over and won't get tired of it. (Steak with roasted potatoes) The staff makes sure they take care of you. It's a small place, but it's a place you really need to know about.

I visited a former college roommate who lives in the Bronx. When I asked him for some authentic, non-touristy, NYC-style pizza, he took me to this little place. It was late evening, and the restaurant was very busy. There weren't many tables inside. I would advise getting your pizza and then finding somewhere else to eat it. And as someone from a small rural Kentucky town, I felt rather endangered. However--it's the BRONX!!--so most people are probably okay with the atmosphere. This was some of the BEST pizza I've ever eaten. The slices were gigantic. One slice was enough for two meals. Since I was on vacation, I opted for two slices loaded with big, juicy pepperonis. Wow, wow, wow. Why does pizza this good not become wildly popular?! If this place was in a safer part of town and had a small dining room, I'd not hesitate to give it five stars.

I come here for the specialty pizzas. My favorites are the pesto pizza, gourmet vegetable and the luisella. The toppings are FRESH unlike other pizzerias that use canned mushrooms, etc. They actually grow their own basil. Prices are great for pizzas, but other dishes are fair. One minor caveat, their pizza size for "mini" which is perfect for 2 people, changes size often. However with the rising costs of ingredients, I can understand.

If I had previously written a review, this would have been an update from a 4 to a 3. The pizza slices are slightly sweeter than others and the slices used to be much larger and much fresher for the price. That is my main complaint. It is still a good stop and they might have just had a bad day. If not, than pardon this review, I would give it a 4.

La Pentola has been my go-to spot for Italian food for about 2 years now. La Pentola sells really cheap pizza ($1) which is actually not half bad (beats the $1 pizza places in manhattan hands down). However la Pentola has some real quality food. My favorite dish is Penne Pasta with tomato sauce with mozzarella sticks on the side. They make the sauce just right. I've eaten penne at a lot of restaurants. None of them can make tomato sauce that compares. The caesar salad is also really good.

I never really thought to stop into this restaurant, from the ouside it seemed like it would be a little pricey, but it is my sisters' neighborhood pizza stop. So we tried it. The slice was a good size. When I saw it, I thought man, this slice is small, I should get 2, but I only ate one and was satisfied. It is good quality pizza. Real Mozzarella, u can taste the quality, rich and savory, good sauce and the crust is thinner than the usual slice found in the Bronx. My ideal pizza. * They usually have $1.00 slice specials. Reg Slice $2.00.

Pizza here is normally on point. Toppings are very fresh. By the looks of the diner plates, I'm always tempted to try but I'm always on the run. Can't beat them 1 dollar slice deals...

I go to this place all the time for the $1 pizza & garlic knots and until recently I'd had good experiences. The last two times I have gone there I was over charged for my order and then the man taking my order (who I believe is the owner) was extremely rude when I tried explaining that I was overcharged (granted only by $1... but still, when you go somewhere for $1 pizza you don't expect to end up paying an extra $1) and slammed my food down in front of me when it was ready.

Place is fancy but empty, their pizzas are small and tasteless, not authentic Italian and the owner is rude as well, I'm from the neighborhood and Ive never seen any of the other reviewers. I think they are friends or family members..the best place is the one around the corner ...John and Joe's,.... Delicious!

The pizza here is amazing, even when taken out and eaten later. The pizza is never oily like pizzarias in my town. If I could, I would come here everyday. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is amazing. I do not only recommend the pizza but the other food is to die for. They serve delicious Italian dishes you won't find as good tasting anywhere else. Employees are alsos very friendly. Great for parties, they deliver.
